The Information Systems Sector (ISS) of BAE Systems is a full-spectrum provider of information technology solutions that address the needs of our defense, intelligence, homeland security, and commercial customers. The sector specializes in software development, IT services, geospatial and imagery products, design and integration of computer networks, archive and dissemination systems, and automation of battle management, mission planning, and force execution.

ISS is a leader in the development of systems for the exploitation, storage, and manipulation of imagery and other geospatial products to generate highly accurate materials for analysis, precision strike, and mission planning/auto-routing of low-observable and conventional airborne platforms. In addition, the sector produces test equipment for the advanced electronics contained in aircraft avionics, space vehicles, and communications systems.

ISS also applies a full range of information technology capabilities to increase the efficiency of operations for our government and commercial customers. The sector assists in the design and implementation of networks and system-of-systems architectures (including systems in secure or classified environments), ensures effectiveness of information assurance and network security functions, management of software and infrastructure, and maintenance of servers and networks. |

Our National Security Solutions (NSS) business unit is a leading creator of large subsystems, and modular components for the information and decision systems of the national security community. NSS specializes in management of large, complex software-intensive production programs from development through integration, and provides customized and off-the-shelf solutions for imagery exploitation, archiving, and analysis, mapping, targeting, geospatial information, photogrammetry, data fusion, and mission planning. NSS is a world renowned provider of highly accurate geospatial information from multiple data sources for digital mapping, GIS, 3-D visualization and simulation, commercial maps, urban planning, and other uses. We are a key enabler of joint and coalition warfare with modular systems designed for common architectures, and solutions used worldwide in more than 70 countries. In addition, National Security Solutions is an industry leader in the production of automatic test equipment for military aircraft, space systems, and electronic systems in the U.S. and abroad. We are also one of the largest suppliers of mapping and geospatial products to industrial consumers and state and local governments to support emergency response, critical infrastructure protection, homeland defense, facility management, and security. NSS is also a premier enterprise information systems integrator and service provider for the defense, national security, and intelligence communities through architectural design and implementation of intelligence community and C4ISR information technology programs. |

As a full-service solutions provider of information systems and services to intelligence, defense, and federal government customers, we provide a full spectrum of information technology solutions, including IT consulting, managed services, systems integration, network design and operation, network security and information assurance, work group computing and work flow automation, client/server solutions, data warehousing and mining, legacy systems re-engineering and migration, broadband implementations, testing, multimedia applications development, and data visualization. We are a Lotus Premium Partner and Lotus Authorized Education Center, as well as a Microsoft Solutions Provider and Microsoft Authorized Technical Education Center, offering a broad-range of computer-based and instructor-lead training. |

The Information Systems Sector's Center For Transformation provides a venue for the investigation and integration of technologies that show potential to transform the way our customer communities do business or address current challenges. These technologies may be off-the-shelf solutions, BAE Systems-developed solutions, or they may have been developed through the cooperative efforts of multiple private, academic, and governmental organizations. The Center provides an arena where internally and externally funded research and development activities can be focused on high-priority problems faced by defense, intelligence, homeland security, and civilian government agencies. |
