  BAE Systems Ship Repair

BAE Systems Ship Repair is the United States’ leading non-nuclear ship repair, modernization and conversion company. These services are performed by 2,600 employees on board, in shops, along side piers, and in dry docks in Norfolk, San Diego, San Francisco, and Hawaii.

U.S. Naval ships are built years after the start of the initial design and equipment that was once state-of-the-art is now one or two generations old. While the body of a ship may still be fine, its systems and equipment require upgrade. Thus, BAE Systems Ship Repair provides complete marine repair, modernization, and conversion services to reduce the high cost and time involved in new ship construction.

BAE Systems Ship Repair regularly performs modernization and life extension contracts. Major surface combatant, amphibious ship, cruiser, and aircraft carrier modernization programs include LPD 4 Class sustainability alterations; LSD 41 and DDG 51 Class modernization programs; and the AEGIS CG modernization program.
